Steps to modify name on your booking
To modify a passenger's name on a booking, please contact the nearest Railway Reservation Office or the Chief Reservation Supervisor/Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM) present at the boarding station, or the nearest major station at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train.
However, modifications can be made only after the payment has gone through successfully.
If you want to transfer the ticket to a member of your family (Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Husband, and Wife), you will need to submit a request in writing to the nearest Railway Reservation office at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train.
Note: Please carry a print out of the ‘Electronic Reservation Slip’ and an original photo identity proof of both the passengers and a proof of the blood relation (If applicable).
