Why is my payment taking time?
Most UPI payments are completed instantly. In rare cases, banks may take up to 5 days to deposit the money to the receiver's account. We've seen that most banks deposit the money much in advance of this timeline, so we recommend that you ask the receiver to check their bank statement to know if they've received the money

Where is my money?
Don't worry, your money is absolutely safe with the receiver's bank. The receiver should get the money within 5 days.

How do I know if money has reached the account?
Please ask the receiver to check their account statement after 5 days for a confirmation. In case the receiver has linked multiple accounts on PhonePe, the money will be sent to the default account.

How to know which is the default account?
The receiver can check this by tapping their profile picture on the PhonePe app homescreen. In the Payment Methods section, they will see their default account with a Primary badge. 

What if the money is not deposited within 5 days?
In case the bank fails to complete your payment in 5 days, the entire amount will be refunded to your account. If not, contact your bank and raise a complaint.

Can I cancel this payment?
Unfortunately, banks don't allow us to cancel UPI payments once they are completed.
