I was promised cashback if I make a payment

You may receive a call, message (containing a link or a QR code), or a payment request from an unknown user or from someone claiming to be from PhonePe promising to send you a cashback or a refund. However, as soon as you tap the link or scan the QR code, you will be taken to the payment screen on your PhonePe app. If you enter your UPI PIN, you will be sending money from your account instead of receiving the promised cashback or refund.

Please note that, 

• PhonePe or its representatives will never contact you for cashbacks or refunds
• Any cashback you receive on PhonePe is always directly added to your PhonePe Gift Card
• You do not need to enter your UPI PIN to receive a payment, cashback, or refund. Please use your UPI PIN only to make payments through UPI. 

If you receive any such calls, messages, or payments requests or suspect any of these to be fraudulent, please report it to us immediately by tapping the button below.
