What will my UPI IDs be used for?

You can use your PhonePe UPI ID to: 

• Receive money by sharing this UPI ID with one of your contacts. 
• Send money to any of your contacts through a payment request sent by them to your UPI ID.
• Make payments to merchants by selecting the UPI payment option. Enter your PhonePe UPI ID, and you will receive a payment request by SMS and on the PhonePe app through which you can make the payment. 

You can use any of your contacts UPI ID to: 

• Send money to them through their UPI ID instead of their mobile number. You can do this in the Transfer Money section on the home screen of the PhonePe app. 
  
  Note: While making any payment via UPI, you only need to select the bank account from which you want to pay the amount, and not your UPI ID.
