Here are a few simple steps to understand how you can send and receive money using a QR code:

Scan a QR code to make a payment

You must have seen many stores and shops displaying QR codes. You can make instant payments to these stores by scanning their QR code. To do so,

  1. Tap the QR code icon on the PhonePe app Home screen to open the scanner.              
  2. Point your phone camera at the QR code to scan the code. 
  3. Enter the amount that you want to pay and tap Send. 
  4. Enter your secret UPI PIN and tap Submit.
Use your QR code to receive payments

 

You can use your personal QR code to receive money into your account. To find your QR code, 

  1. Tap your profile picture on the PhonePe app Home screen.
  2. Tap QR Codes under the Payment Settings section.

You can receive money into your primary linked bank account on PhonePe by allowing the person who is sending you money to scan your personal QR code.
