Is there a waiting period for the Group Arogya Sanjeevani policy?
Yes, here are the details of the different waiting periods:
- First 30 days waiting period - Any expenses incurred for treatment of any illness within 30 days from the first policy’s commencement date will not be covered during this period. However, expenses incurred due to accidents will be covered.
- Pre-existing diseases - Any expenses for treatment of a Pre-existing Disease (PED) and its direct complications will not be covered for 48 months of continuous coverage from first policy’s commencement date, subject to the same being declared at the time of application and accepted at the time of application.
- Specific waiting period - Any expenses for treatments of the listed conditions, and surgeries/treatments will be covered after 24 months of continuous coverage from the first policy’s commencement date. If any of the specified disease or procedure falls under the waiting period specified for pre-existing diseases, then the longer of the two waiting periods shall apply.

- Calculi in the urinary system, gallbladder and bile duct, excluding malignancy.
- Cataract and age-related eye ailments
- Varicose veins and varicose ulcers
- Gastric/duodenal ulcer
- Internal congenital anomalies

- Treatment for joint replacement unless it is resulting from an accident
