What does the Group Arogya Sanjeevani policy cover?
The Group Arogya Sanjeevani policy covers:
- Pre-hospitalisation expenses - Medical expenses you incur 30 days prior to your hospitalisation will be covered as per the T&Cs.
- Hospitalisation expenses - If you or your family member is hospitalised for 24 consecutive hours, the following will be covered based on the sum insured and the cumulative bonus specified in your policy schedule:
- Room rent, boarding, and nursing expenses as charged by the hospital or nursing home: This will be covered for upto 2% of the sum insured. The maximum amount you can claim per day is ₹5,000.
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) expenses: These expenses will be covered for upto 5% of the sum insured. The maximum amount you can claim per day is ₹10,000.
- Other expenses
- Dental treatment, if required, due to a disease or an injury
- Plastic surgery, if required, due to a disease or an injury
- All day care treatments
- Post-hospitalisation expenses - Medical expenses you incur for hospitalisation that requires in-patient care for a fixed period of 60 days from the discharge date will be covered as per the T&Cs.
- Ambulance expenses - Expenses you’ve incurred for road ambulance services will be covered. You can get a maximum of ₹2,000 per hospitalisation.
- The following procedures will be covered (if medically required) either as part of in-patient or day care treatment in a hospital for upto 50% of the sum insured:
- Uterine artery embolisation and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
- Balloon sinuplasty
- Deep brain stimulation
- Oral chemotherapy
- Immunotherapy - This includes monoclonal antibody if it’s to be injected
- Intra vitreal injections
- Robotic surgeries
- Stereotactic radio surgeries
- Bronchial thermoplasty
- Vaporisation of the prostate (Green laser treatment or holmium laser treatment)
- Intra Operative Neuro Monitoring (IONM)
- Stem cell therapy - Covers hematopoietic stem cells for bone marrow transplant
