It is necessary to renew your bike insurance before it expires. If you fail to do so, your insurer will not be responsible to pay any debts associated with your vehicle and the risks covered with it. Also, they will not be liable to pay for any losses or damages brought on by your car, or claims filed even between the expiry date and the renewal date.

Note: You can renew your insurance either 15 or 30 days from the expiry date, depending on the insurer.
