What should I do if I meet with an accident while driving my car or if my car is stolen?
In the unfortunate incident of you meeting with an accident or your car getting stolen, please following the below steps:
- Accident: In case of an accident, take your car to your preferred garage within the network, if possible, or have your car towed to avoid any further damage. You can check the list of network garages to get the benefits of cashless claims.
- Theft: Contact the nearest police station and file a complaint (FIR) immediately. You can then file a claim by contacting the insurance provider.
Note: If your car isn't found within 90 days, you’ll need to request the police authorities to issue a non-traceable report, which you’ll need to submit to the insurance provider. The non-traceable report is an undertaking given by the police that they have not been able to find your car. Your claim process will kick into gear once you submit this report. - Third-party liability: Contact the nearest police station and file a complaint (FIR) immediately. Once you receive the charge sheet, file a claim by contacting the insurance provider you’ve purchased the policy from.
