What do I do if I meet with an accident or if my vehicle is stolen?

If you meet with an accident or your vehicle gets stolen, please follow the below:

Comprehensive Plan
  • In case of an accident, you will need to take your vehicle to a preferred network garage. You can choose to even have your vehicle towed in order to avoid further damage. Contact your insurance provider to check the list of network garages to avail cashless claims.
  • In case of theft, you will need to contact the nearest police station and file a complaint (FIR) immediately. You can then initiate a claim by contacting the insurance provider
Note: Your claim process will only begin if your car is still not found after 90 days. You will need to request the police authorities for a non-traceable report that you must submit to the insurance provider. This report is an undertaking given by the police that they have not been able to find your vehicle.
Third-Party Plan

In case of an accident or theft, please contact the nearest police station and file a complaint (FIR) immediately. Once you receive the charge sheet, you can file a claim by contacting the insurance provider you’ve purchased the policy from.

To file a claim, you will need to submit the following documents to the insurance provider:

  • Injury/death: Documents related to the injury such as hospital bills, and treatment expense invoices. In case of death, you will need to submit a death certificate and a confirmation from the motor accident claims tribunal.
  • Damage to property: An inspection officer’s report from the motor accident claims tribunal, original bills, and a surveyor’s report to make an estimation of the loss caused to the third-party property will need to be submitted.
