What is a deductible?
A deductible is an amount that you need to pay when you file a claim after purchasing Super Top-up. This amount could be the sum insured amount of your existing health insurance policy or the amount you will have to pay out of your pocket. The insurance provider will only cover the claim if the amount is higher than the deductible amount.
For example, your Super Top-up cover is ₹20 lakh and the deductible is ₹5 lakh. In this case, your Super Top-up policy will offer coverage of ₹15 lakh if your claim amount is higher than your annual aggregate deductible of ₹5 lakh.
