What is my payment date and will I be charged a late fee when I pay utility bills?

For electricity, gas and other utilities (postpaid, broadband, landline, water, insurance, school fees, loan repayments, municipal tax), the biller typically takes 3 to 4 days to update your payment on their portal. However your bill payment date will always be considered as the date you make the payment on PhonePe.

You will not be charged a late payment fee as long as you make your payment anytime on or before the bill due date. However, we recommend that you make bill payments 3 to 4 days before the due date to avoid any last minute issues.
