Why is my bill payment pending?

Bill payments on PhonePe are usually instant. However, in rare cases, they may take longer than usual to be completed. If you see your bill payment pending on PhonePe, it means that we’re waiting for a confirmation from your electricity provider. 

Please wait for a few hours for your bill payment to be completed. You can check the History section of your app for the final status of your payment. 

Important: In case your pending electricity bill payment fails, your payment amount will be refunded to you based on the payment mode you used. For payments using UPI, you will receive the refund within 3 to 5 days, for card payments within 7 to 9 days, and for wallet and gift card payments, you will receive the refund within 24 hours.
