Do not download any unverified applications that can be used by anyone to remotely access your device.

How do I make my PhonePe account secure?

You can keep your PhonePe account safe and secure by ensuring that you:

  • Do not share your personal information, such as your OTP, password, CVV, or UPI PIN with anyone including PhonePe officials 
  • Be aware of any malicious calls or emails you may receive from non-PhonePe officials
  • Do not forward an SMS or other communication you receive from PhonePe to unknown persons
  • Do not download any unverified applications that can be used by anyone to remotely access your device
  • Set a password for your PhonePe account
  • Enable screen lock for your PhonePe app. You can do so by tapping your profile picture > Enable Screen Lock
What if someone else uses my PhonePe account?

It is 100% safe and secure to use the PhonePe app for all your payment needs.

However, if you suspect that someone else is using your PhonePe account or has made a payment that you are unaware of, please follow the below steps immediately: 

  • Change your account password on the app
  • Change your UPI PIN
  • Change the password of your mobile device

Additionally, you can also log out from your PhonePe account after every use.
